  Back in 1800 family Milovanovic has moved to small village of Upper Zleginje near Zupa. Milivoje Milovanovic, in the 30’s of last century began to manufacture and sell his own wines. He opened a restaurant and wine shop in Belgrade.After the Second World War, Milivoje and his son Michael Milovanovic have worked as cellars in the company “Zupa Wine” caring family vineyards and making small quantities of wine. Since 2005, Milovanovic winery is beginning to sell wine under its own label. Nowadays they have 2 acres of vineyards planted on their own and 4 hectares of vineyards with exceptional grape from Zupa. They are constantly improving the quality of wine, as well as planting new vine, combining modern technology solutions to the classical Zupa’s terroir. In the future the winery is planning to expand vineyards and to build barrique hall with oak barrels. Modern tasting rooms and restaurants will be placed in the central part of vineyards, in order to gather all real wine lovers who don’t hesitate to taste a sip of the golden and sunny autumn of Zupa. |
