Vino Et Spiritus - About Us
![]() he Pérez Cruz winery is located 45 km (28 mi) southeast of Santiago de Chile in the Maipo Valley, one of the country’s largest wine regions. From north to south the valley covers lands along its two rivers, the Mapocho and the Maipo Rivers, and reaches Angostura at its southern extreme. The 580-hectare property in the Paine area has 250 hectares planted to vinifera grapes. It also has other species that grow along the edge of the river. The vineyard is integrated among the trees that have always existed on the property. The area has a Mediterranean climate; the influence of the Andes Mountains causes a thermal oscillation of over 15°C between day and night. Temperatures gradually begin to decrease towards the end of summer, thus permitting a gradual ripening of the grapes, and allowing them to maintain the fruit concentration and the proper tannin ripening. In the High Maipo, the 2009 vintage, were characterized with habitual climatic conditions; spring and summer practically without rains and temperatures near 30ºC during January, slightly warmer than the others years. This allowed that the grapes were in a perfect sanitary condition, with good balance between the sugar, acidity, structure, concentration of fruit, and aromas. • Viňa Perez Cruz Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve – red wine • Viňa Perez Cruz Carmenere Limited Edition – red wine • Viňa Perez Cruz Cot (Malbec) Limited Edition – red wine • Viňa Perez Cruz Syrah Limited Edition – red wine |
